Colonno is a quaint, picturesque village on the western shore of Lake Como. It sits between the better-known towns of Argegno and Sala Comacina, but has a much quieter, more local feel.

The village is built right up against steep, forested hills, with narrow stone houses dropping away toward the lake. A defining feature is its long, stepped pathways—made of ancient stone—that wind through the village from the upper hillside all the way down to the waterfront.
