Colonno is a quaint, picturesque village on the western shore of Lake Como in northern Italy. It sits between the better-known towns of Argegno and Sala Comacina, but has a much quieter, more local feel.
The village is built right up against steep, forested hills, with narrow stone houses dropping away towards the lake. A defining feature is its long, stepped pathway—made of ancient stone—that winds through the village from the upper hillside all the way down to the waterfront.
The lakeside location also means that there is easy access to the lake and lake related activities like swimming, sailing, sunbathing etc. There is a small public lido (beach) in front of the property. The property is built directly at the water’s edge.

A small pedestrian path that runs along the lake in front of the property, takes you to the historical centre of Colonno: the original village has its center in the characteristic little lake square, which stretches between the small jetty and the church of S. Michele Arcangelo. There is also a small children’s park.
The apartments are located 2-3 minutes from the town square. Colonno is known for its unique views as Lake Como curves sharply at this point, allowing views of the foothills of the Alps to the North and numerous pretty lakeside villages flanked by mountains to the South .
The location of the development allows easy access to the famous ‘Greenway’ of Lake Como, at its point of origin in the hills of Colonno. This is a fabulous walking path of about 10 kilometers through some of the most picturesque areas of the Lake, including the towns of Colonno, Sala Comacina, Tremezzina and Griante, following the ancient Via Regina. The walk is suitable for almost everyone and can be covered in about three and a half hours or in stages, with the possibility of making short detours from the path to visit one of the many attractions of the area.
